Zoe Lafferty has directed, written and researched for theatre in Afghanistan, Britain, America, Palestine, Europe, Syria and Japan. In Britain she has directed theatre at the Soho Theatre, Unicorn Theatre, The Finborough Theatre, Riverside Studios, Park Theatre, the Edinburgh Festival and have developed work with the National Theatre of Wales and the Hammersmith Lyric.

She is a member of the board and worked on numerous projects at The Red Room, one of Britain’s leading political theatre companies. The productions she has been a part of have been nominated for the AKA What’s On Stage Event (Britain) and the Urban Intervention Award (Berlin) and have won the AJ Small Projects prize and AJ Sustainability prize. She co-directed the Freedom Theatre’s production of ‘The Siege’ with Palestinian theatre director Nabil Al-Raee.
