Mark Steel is a commentator and stand-up comedian. He has appeared on many radio and television programmes, including Have I Got News for You and Never Mind the Buzzcocks. In 2006, he published Vive La Revolution: A Stand-up History of the French Revolution, and in 2000 he stood as a candidate in the London Assembly elections. He has written regular columns in printed media and is perhaps best known for presenting his own series of TV and radio programmes: The Mark Steel Lectures, The Mark Steel Revolution, The Mark Steel Solution, and Mark Steel’s in Town.
